Pakistanis included in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list make nation proud

(Web Desk) – Renowned American magazine Forbes has released a list of individuals under the age of 30 who have made significant contributions in various sectors across Asia. This year, seven Pakistanis have been honored: Sarkhail Bowany (Abhi), Adeel Abid, Aizaz Nayyer, Ali Raza (Linkstar), Aleena Nadeem (EduFi), Kasra Zunnaiyyer (Trukkr), and Bushra Sultan (Artist).

Each list issued by Forbes includes 300 individuals, all aged 30 or younger, who have achieved remarkable success in their fields.
These lists encompass categories such as sports, media marketing, entertainment, manufacturing and industries, retail e-commerce, social impact, and gaming, among others.

In this compilation, young men and women from Egypt, Malaysia, South Korea, Lebanon, Bangladesh, and India have succeeded in securing spots, alongside 7 Pakistani individuals.

Aleena Nadeem (EduFi)

Aleena Nadeem is recognized in the Finance and Venture Capital category for their start-ups. Aleena’s EduFi, based in Lahore, offers students an opportunity to cover their educational expenses through a “Study Now, Pay Later” model.

Sarkhail Bawani (Abhi)

Sarkhail Bawani has also been selected from Finance and Venture Capital category Sarkhail’s company, Abhi, helps employees in Pakistan access a portion of their salary ahead of payday to manage urgent expenses.

Bushra Sultan (Artist)

Bushra Sultan is the only Pakistani in the Artist category. As a filmmaker and creative director in Lahore, she is noted for her work that highlights arts and style. She recently launched “Demesne Couture,” a campaign addressing the traditional control over brides, metaphorically portraying them as ‘puppets.’

Kasra Zunnaiyyer (Trukkr)

Kasra Zunnaiyyer is the cofounder and CTO of Karachi-based Trukkr, which has developed a management platform for Pakistan’s logistics sector. Established in 2020, the startup’s software allows users to obtain financing, track their fleets and connect with customers. As it is one of the first digital services targeting the country’s small- and medium-sized trucking companies, Trukker has caught the attention of global investors. It raised last year $6.4 million in seed funding led by Washington, D.C.-based Accion Venture Lab and London-based Sturgeon Capital.

Adeel Abid, Aizaz Nayyer, and Ali Raza (LinkStar)

Adeel Abid, Aizaz Nayyer, and Ali Raza are co-founders of LinkStar, are included in the Consumer Technology category. LinkStar helps freelancers create free portfolio websites with advanced functionalities. In 2023, they expanded their business by acquiring Oliv, a Dubai-based career marketplace that aids companies in hiring students.
