A new art installation depicting former U.S. President Donald Trump alongside convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has appeared on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., drawing attention and sparking debate.
The statue, titled “The King of the World,” was installed by a group calling itself The Secret Handshake. It references the iconic Titanic pose of Jack and Rose, offering a provocative take on politics and celebrity culture.
This installation follows a series of similar works by the same group. Last week, a “Jeffrey Epstein Walk of Shame” appeared in Farragut Square, displaying names of politicians, billionaires, and public figures reported to have ties to Epstein. Previously, a spray-painted bronze statue called “Best Friends Forever”, depicting Trump and Epstein holding hands, was also placed on the National Mall.
The developments come amid the U.S. Justice Department’s release of additional records connected to Epstein. Some documents include allegations involving Trump. The White House has rejected these claims, calling them “completely baseless” and unsupported by credible evidence.
The installations have ignited discussions across the country about political art, public space, and accountability. Reactions have been mixed, with some praising the artistic commentary and others questioning its taste or intent.
