Portuguese soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday posted his photo with his team mates on instagram captioning it “family” with a Portugal flag and a heart emoji to celebrate his return to the Portugal natioanl team .
He added the hashtag: “#ShareThePassion”.
The 39-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s post follows recent rumours about him getting dropped from the national team as he was listed to play alongside his national team for their friendly clash against Sweden.
The rumours worried fans but were soon put to rest after the team clarified that the reason for the Al-Nassr striker being dropped is purely to give him some rest.
The Portugal captain recently enjoyed a small vacation with his family in Saudi Arabia after the Saudi Pro League was paused for the international break.
The former Real Madrid star will continue his training ahead of the clash with Slovenia this week.
He hopes to compete in the European Championship in Germany this summer, where Portugal will face the Czech Republic, Turkey and a play-off winner in the group stages.
