Cited Surah Taha, verse 46 of the Quran, which reassures, “Have no fear! I am with you, hearing and seeing.”
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi invoked a verse from the Quran on courage during his speech in the Lok Sabha on Monday, July 1.
While responding to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address, Rahul Gandhi commended the opposition leaders for their courage throughout the election. Drawing on the symbolism of Hindu deity Shiva, he attributed Shiva’s persona to “non-violence” and interpreted the snake around Shiva’s neck as representing “courage”.
He underscored that all religions advocate for “peace, non-violence, and courage,” despite numerous attacks on the opposition. “We have shown courage,” he asserted.
Referring to Islamic teachings, he cited Surah Taha, verse 46 of the Quran, which reassures, “Have no fear! I am with you, hearing and seeing.”
