Tensions Escalate in Royal Family as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Snub King Charles on His 76th Birthday
King Charles III faced a public slight on his 76th birthday when his son, Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, failed to offer any official birthday wishes, despite other members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, sending their regards. This latest omission from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signals continuing strain in their relationship with the Royal Family, especially in the wake of Harry’s explosive memoir Spare and the couple’s ongoing public rift.
While reports suggest Harry is still hoping to spend Christmas with the Royals, his lack of acknowledgment on his father’s special day raises questions about the future of their relationship.
Royal expert Hugo Vickers pointed out that Harry may have said all he intended to about his family, given his recent limited engagements. “He’s attended the Coronation, visited his father when unwell, and been involved in the Invictus Games, but beyond that, there’s been little interaction with the Royal Family,” Vickers said.
With the tensions running high, it’s speculated that future allegations from Harry could continue to challenge the Royal Family’s unity and image.
