The third ODI between Pakistan and Australia, set for November 10 in Perth, will see the absence of five key Australian players. Captain Pat Cummins, along with Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith, will not feature in the match.
The players are focusing on finalizing their preparations for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India. For this reason, Hazlewood, who played in the Sheffield Shield for Test preparation, will be unavailable for the third ODI, despite being available for the second match.
In their place, Cricket Australia has called up Xavier Bartlett, Spencer Johnson, and Josh Philippe for the third ODI, with Lance Morris also added to the squad in Melbourne.
Josh Inglis will captain the Australian team for the third ODI and also lead in the T20 series against Pakistan. Inglis will become Australia’s 30th ODI and 14th T20I captain, marking a new chapter in Australia’s leadership lineup.
