Ahmedabad: A local lawyer, Morris Christian, has been arrested after a court found him guilty of issuing fake legal orders, pretending to be a top authority.
Through these fraudulent orders, Morris illegally made claimants owners of government land valued at over ₹100 crore.
The civil court found that Morris had no legal authority, appointing himself as an arbitrator and passing these false rulings. One such order, involving land owned by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, was challenged, leading the court to declare it “invalid” and “unenforceable.” An FIR has been lodged against Morris and his accomplices.
