Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is currently facing a significant global outage, impacting users in multiple countries.
However, Pakistan remains unaffected, with its internet infrastructure operating smoothly. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed the disruption on Saturday, assuring that no issues have been detected within the country’s internet gateways.
“This is not a local issue,” the PTA clarified. “Pakistan’s internet services are fully functional, and no disruptions have been reported.”
This widespread outage echoes a similar incident on May 22, when users worldwide were locked out of X for several hours before the platform restored normal service. Global internet monitoring group NetBlocks has also confirmed that the problem is international in scope and not related to any country-specific restrictions.
In the United States alone, over 25,000 complaints were reported via Downdetector.com by Saturday morning, highlighting the extent of the disruption. The PTA said it is closely monitoring the situation and will keep the public informed of any significant updates.
For now, the outage remains firmly on Elon Musk’s platform, while Pakistan’s internet users continue their online activities uninterrupted.
