TikToker Bride Heartbroken as Only 5 Guests Attend Wedding
What began as a dream wedding quickly turned into a heartbreaking reality for Oregon-based TikTok user Kalina Marie, whose emotional experience went viral after she shared it on social media.
After being with her partner Shane for nine years, Kalina sent out digital invitations to 75 people and even personally invited 25 more for her masquerade-themed wedding. But when she arrived at the grand hall on her wedding day, only five guests had shown up to celebrate.
In her TikTok video, Kalina wrote, “Here’s our entrance… only five people showed up! I can’t believe it!” The video shows the couple entering a nearly empty venue. Despite the disappointment, Kalina and Shane embraced the moment, sharing their first dance with the small group of attendees.
Expressing her disbelief, Kalina said she couldn’t understand why so few guests had arrived. “This isn’t the dream I had envisioned,” she admitted. “The Masquerade ball I talked about for 10 months, invited over 75 people to, and sent out 25 formal invites for… only five people showed up!”
The video, which captured their entrance at 2 p.m., showed a venue prepared for 40 people but almost empty. Her story has since sparked a wave of sympathy online, with many expressing sadness over her experience.
