Islamabad’s TikTok community is in shock after influencer Samiya Hijab narrowly escaped an abduction outside her home — and now the case has taken a dramatic turn as the prime suspect, Hassan Zahid, confessed in court.

Zahid, accused of stalking, harassing, and finally attempting to kidnap Samiya, was produced before Judicial Magistrate Yasir Mehmood Chaudhry. When grilled over the charges, Zahid admitted: “Sir, it was my mistake.”
The Ordeal
According to the FIR lodged at Shalimar Police Station, Zahid — a resident of Lahore — had been pressuring Samiya for months to marry him, sending unwanted gifts and issuing threats. On Sunday evening, the harassment escalated into a full-blown abduction attempt when he allegedly grabbed her phone, forced her into his car, and tried to take her away.
“My mother was sick, my brother wasn’t home. He snatched my phone, dragged me into his car… but I managed to record part of it,”
Samiya revealed in a video statement that quickly went viral.
Police Crackdown
Islamabad Police swung into action, arresting Zahid within 24 hours. A case was registered under multiple sections, including harassment, attempted abduction, and assault. Police also requested an eight-day physical remand to recover the suspect’s car, pistol, and stolen cash.
IGP Ali Nasir Rizvi assured that “strict legal action” would be taken, while officers were deployed outside Samiya’s residence to ensure her safety amid fresh threats.
Victim Speaks Out
Visibly shaken but defiant, Samiya compared her ordeal to the tragic case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, who was murdered earlier this year after rejecting a proposal.
“Before this, my friend Sana died for the same reason. I do not want to become another Sana,”
she said.
Samiya also confirmed undergoing a medical exam that showed signs of physical assault. Despite being pressured to withdraw her complaint, she vowed to fight till justice is served.
Call for Exemplary Punishment
In an emotional Instagram video, she thanked Islamabad Police for their swift action, stressing that the suspect must face strict punishment.
“He thought he could abduct me, force me to marry him, and walk away scot-free. That animal was behind bars within 24 hours,” Samiya declared.
Demanding exemplary punishment, she added: “Before anyone dares cast their eyes on a sister or daughter, they should think 10,000 times.”
