The world’s most famous YouTuber, Jimmy Donaldson — better known as MrBeast — has made history by becoming the first individual creator to hit 400 million subscribers on YouTube.
To celebrate the achievement, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan presented him with a custom 400M Play Button on Tuesday — the first and only award of its kind. MrBeast shared the moment with a viral photo on social media.
In a world where YouTube competition grows fiercer every day, MrBeast has proven that passion, persistence, and bold ideas can truly change the game.
On June 1, 2025, he officially became the first solo creator to cross the 400M milestone.
In an emotional post, he wrote:
“400,000,000 subscribers! A decade ago, people told me I’d fail because I was ‘too obsessed.’ But I was in love with what I was doing. I worked tirelessly for seven years — without looking back.”
He added:
“The greatest gift in life is to wake up each day with purpose — and thanks to YouTube and all of you, I get to do that. Thank you for 400M.”
Currently, the only other YouTube channel close in numbers is T-Series, with 299 million subscribers.
The custom-made 400M Play Button was exclusively designed for MrBeast, as no individual had ever reached this milestone. Unlike previous designs, this one features shiny metalwork with a blue gemstone in the center, giving it a unique identity.
However, reactions to the design have been mixed. Some users criticized it by saying:
- “Looks like the 10 million button, just painted blue.”
- “Did AI design this?”
- “The old gold buttons were better — this doesn’t feel special.”
Others defended the design, saying:
- “That blue gem looks like a real mineral — not just colored glass. Makes it more valuable.”
Not Just a YouTuber – Now a Billionaire Too!
MrBeast isn’t just a content king — he’s a rising business mogul as well. In 2025, his net worth crossed $1 billion.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, he’s now the eighth-youngest billionaire in the world, and the only self-made billionaire under 30 who didn’t inherit their wealth.
A Business Insider report claims his company, Beast Industries, earned $473 million in 2024, with expectations to double in 2025.
Last year, MrBeast jokingly challenged T-Series CEO Bhushan Kumar to a boxing match. Both subscribed to each other’s channels, creating a fun and viral moment for fans.
