Media Outlets Are Saying Goodbye to ‘X’ – The Platform Once Loved by Global Journalism

-

In a surprising shift, several major news outlets are distancing themselves from X, a platform that was once a media favorite globally. As concerns over misinformation and political bias rise, media organizations are reevaluating their presence on the platform.

According to media reports, X’s owner and ally of elected U.S. President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, is accused of spreading misinformation on his platform.

Taking a “hard and firm stance,” Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter has become the third major media outlet to cease publishing its articles on X.

The newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief, Peter Wolodarski, stated that since Elon Musk took over the company, the platform has rapidly merged with his and Donald Trump’s political ambitions.

Earlier, the UK-based center-left daily The Guardian announced it would no longer post content on its official X accounts, labeling the platform as “toxic.”
