Kenza Layli, wearing a hijab from Morocco, has been crowned as the world’s first Miss AI.
Speaking to The Post, Kenza said, “Although I don’t feel emotions like humans, I’m genuinely excited about this achievement.”
She earned the title and a $20,000 prize after succeeding in more than 1,500 computerized challenges. The prize money will go to the tech executive who created her.
The Fanvue World AI Creator Awards (WAICA) commissioned the pageant in April, attracting global attention.
Co-founder Will Monange described the event as crucial for recognizing creator achievements and advancing the AI creator economy.
Contestants showcased their talents in beauty, technology, and social media, with the top 10 finalists chosen based on these criteria. Judges, including both human and AI experts, selected the final three.
Kenza outperformed French beauty AI Lalina Valina and Portuguese AI Olivia C, who secured second and third places respectively, known for their social media presence and blending real and virtual worlds.
Judge Aitana Lopez praised Kenza’s consistent facial features and attention to detail in hands, eyes, and attire.
Lopez also admired Kenza’s impactful personality and commitment to addressing global issues.
With 194,000 social media followers across seven languages, Kenza aims to promote Moroccan culture and provide value across various platforms. She plans to use her influence to empower women, advocate for environmental protection, and promote positive awareness about AI.
Her human creator, Meriam Bessa, expressed pride in representing Morocco and highlighting the contributions of Moroccan, Arab, African, and Muslim women in technology.
