Virat Kohli, known for his fierce competitiveness and unmatched passion for the game, has always been a player who forms strong bonds with his teammates. His leadership and camaraderie have earned him immense respect both on and off the field.

Over the years, Kohli has shared memorable moments with fellow cricketers, and his emotional posts reflect the close-knit relationships he builds within the team. Recently, as his long-time teammate Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement, Kohli paid a heartfelt tribute to Ashwin’s incredible career and their shared journey.

With the draw of the Brisbane Test, the illustrious career of India’s legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has come to an end.

The 38-year-old Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, announced his retirement after the third Test match against Australia. He represented India in 106 Test matches, claiming 537 wickets in his Test career. Ashwin has also represented India in 116 One Day Internationals and 65 T20 matches.

Speaking about his retirement decision, Ashwin expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his cricketing journey, saying, “Today marks my last day as a cricketer in all formats.”

He further added, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my career and have many cherished memories. This is an emotional moment for me.”

However, Ashwin’s retirement was met with an emotional post from India’s batting giant Virat Kohli, who praised Ashwin’s achievements for the Indian team.

Virat Kohli wrote, “I played cricket with you for 14 years, and when you told me that today is your retirement day, it made me emotional, and all the memories of the years we spent together on the field flooded my mind.”

Virat continued, “Your match-winning contributions to Indian cricket are not hidden from anyone, and you will always be remembered as a cricketing legend.”

He concluded by writing, “A lot of respect and love for you and thank you for everything, for the people closest to you.”
