As cricket fans gear up for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, former England captain Michael Vaughan has stirred the pot with his thoughts on the rivalry between Australia and India.

Vaughan, downplayed the rivalry between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Thursday, stating it doesn’t match the intensity of the Ashes.

Via X, Vaughan shared his thoughts on the eve of the highly anticipated BGT, acknowledging the significance of the Australia-India series.

Australia vs India is an exceptional series featuring two top-tier teams, but the rivalry falls short of the Ashes,” Vaughan noted.

The five-match Test series between Australia and India commences tomorrow at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
