Quetta Gladiators

-

Purple Force – Symbol of Resilience

Quetta Gladiators, a formidable and competitive franchise in the Pakistan Super League’s ninth edition in 2024, bears the nickname “Shan-e-Pakistan.” The owner of this QG franchise is Nadeem Omar, a prominent Pakistani business executive affiliated with Omar Associates. Named after the capital city of Balochistan province, Quetta, this franchise primarily calls Bugti Stadium in Quetta its home ground. However, due to security concerns, they have often played their home matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore during the Pakistan Super League. The ownership rights for this franchise were acquired for a sum of 11 million US dollars in December 2015.

During the fourth season of the league, Quetta Gladiators emerged as champions of the HBL PSL in 2019, marking their inaugural victory after facing defeat in the first two consecutive PSL finals. They participated in three HBL PSL Finals out of eight, qualifying for the playoffs four times until HBL PSL 8 in 2023. However, over the past four seasons, Quetta Gladiators have faced challenges securing a playoff spot.

Nadeem Omer is the owner of Quetta Gladiators.

Quetta Gladiators appoints Rilee Rossouw as a captain for PSL 9 after the resignation of Sarfaraz Ahmed. Rilee Rossouw was traded between the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators against the Iftikhar Ahmed.
