PSL X Playoffs Locked! Qalandars Kick Out Zalmi in Do-or-Die Thriller

-

LAHORE – The PSL X playoff race is officially over – and it ended with a bang. Lahore Qalandars stormed into the final four, sending Peshawar Zalmi packing in a rain-hit, drama-filled showdown in Rawalpindi.

The 29th match had everything – strong winds, delayed start, reduced overs, and ultimate heartbreak for Babar Azam’s squad. After winning the toss, Zalmi chose to chase, but Lahore came out swinging, smashing 149/8 in just 13 overs.

Zalmi tried to fight back but couldn’t keep up. They ended at 123/8, falling short by 26 runs. And just like that, their playoff dream was over.

History Made – But Not in a Good Way for Zalmi

For the first time ever, Peshawar Zalmi missed out on a PSL playoff spot. Multan Sultans had already been shown the exit earlier, making this the most unexpected ending yet.

Final Four Locked: Who’s In?

  • Quetta Gladiators – 15 points
  • Karachi Kings – 12 points
  • Lahore Qalandars – 11 points
  • Islamabad United – 10 points

Zalmi also finished with 10 points, but a weak net run rate knocked them out. Multan Sultans? Dead last with just 2 points. Yikes.
