In a move that has sparked excitement among cricket fans, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has extended a warm invitation to Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma for the opening ceremony of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 in Karachi.
While PCB sources have confirmed that all participating teams’ captains have been invited, there has been no official confirmation on whether the Indian captain will attend.
“The first match of the Champions Trophy is scheduled in Karachi, so the event will also take place in Karachi,” PCB sources revealed.
The PCB is also planning a grand unveiling ceremony for the tournament in Karachi, with discussions still underway for a photo session with the team captains.
In a recent development, Indian media has reported that Rohit Sharma is set to visit Pakistan for the prestigious event, sparking further anticipation for his potential appearance at the opening ceremony.
