With the cricketing world buzzing about the Pakistan-India showdown, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has downplayed the hype, insisting the team is focused on the bigger picture rather than a single fixture.
Emphasizing a broader approach,uh Rohit dismissed the idea of giving special attention to the February 23 clash, stating that discussions around Pakistan-India matches have been ongoing for years.
“We have talked a lot about Pakistan-India matches over the last few years, but we are not going to make any special mention about this match. We just have to play well,” Rohit told reporters.
Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir echoed similar sentiments, stating that India’s primary goal is to win the tournament. “We are not entering the tournament with the mindset that February 23 is the most importantu match. All five matches are crucial, and our mission is to win the Champions Trophy,” he said athy a BCCI awards ceremony.
