MCG Goes Green! Melbourne Stars Launch ‘House of Rauf’ for Pakistani Fans

-

Pakistani fans have a new reason to celebrate at the Big Bash!
Melbourne Stars have announced a special stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), dedicated to Pakistan’s star pacer Haris Rauf.

The stand has been named “House of Rauf” and aims to bring Pakistani fans and the South Asian community closer to the game with a mix of cricket, culture, food, and music.

Haris Rauf, who joined the Stars in 2019, has already taken 36 wickets in 22 matches and will serve as the official ambassador of this initiative.

Melbourne Stars GM Max Abbott said the move is part of Cricket Australia’s Multicultural Action Plan to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

“We want Pakistani fans to come, enjoy our matches, and showcase their heritage,” he stated.

The Big Bash starts on December 14, with the Stars opening against Hobart Hurricanes on December 18.
