India Pulls Blind Cricket Team from T20 World Cup

Indian stubbornness, reflected in the Champions Trophy boycott, continues as the country’s blind cricket team pulls out of the T20 World Cup in Pakistan, scheduled to begin on November 23.

On Tuesday, the Cricket Association for the Blind in India confirmed that the team would not be traveling to Pakistan due to the lack of government approval. Reports suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government did not issue the required no-objection certificate (NOC) for the team’s participation.

“We have been waiting for 25 days to receive the government’s consent to travel to Pakistan and compete in the T20 World Cup,” said the association’s secretary.

Despite this, the Indian sports ministry had only given partial approval for the team’s visit to Pakistan.
