India is all set for a tough third Test at Lord’s, where the pitch looks green and England may bring back pace ace Jofra Archer. But batting coach Sitanshu Kotak says the team isn’t worried.
India crushed England by 336 runs at Edgbaston to level the series 1-1, scoring big in both innings. Now, they’re full of confidence heading into the next match.
“If Jofra plays, it will be a challenge. The pitch also looks greener than before,” said Kotak. “But our batters are ready.”
Lord’s is known for helping bowlers early on, and low first-innings scores are common. Still, Kotak trusts his batters to adapt.
Captain Shubman Gill is in red-hot form with scores of 100, 269, and 161 in the series. Rahul, Pant, and Jaiswal have also hit centuries.
“They score fast even when not trying. The key is to stay patient and avoid risky shots.”
The third Test starts Thursday, and both teams are fighting to take the lead.
