LAHORE: Cricket fans faced difficulties purchasing tickets for the highly anticipated ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 as the official ticketing website crashed due to overwhelming traffic.
The Pakistan-hosted tournament saw ticket sales go live at 2 PM (PST), drawing an unprecedented rush from fans eager to secure seats at the newly renovated venues. The sudden surge in users overloaded the servers, making it challenging for buyers to complete their transactions.
In response to the unexpected demand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that efforts are underway to expand server capacity to accommodate the heavy traffic.
On Monday, PCB revealed ticket prices for the eight-team tournament, ranging from PKR 1,000 to PKR 25,000, depending on venue, seating category, and match significance.
