Pakistan’s struggles in New Zealand continue, and frustration is mounting. After yet another defeat in the T20 series, fast bowler Haris Rauf took aim at critics, accusing them of waiting for the team to fail just to lash out.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Haris Rauf said that people in Pakistan wait for the team to lose just to criticize. He added that New Zealand’s conditions are not easy, and every player is trying to give their 100%.
He further stated that Kiwi batters played some good shots, and luck also favored them. “We are trying to play the kind of cricket that modern-day cricket demands,” he said.
In response to a question, he emphasized that young players need support to progress. “They have been given the opportunity to play for Pakistan, and they will take some time to settle,” he said. He added that transitioning directly from domestic cricket to the international stage is challenging, and young players should be given time to understand conditions and perform under pressure.
It is worth mentioning that New Zealand defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the second T20, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.
