‘Shaheen Fan Bay’ in Brisbane – Gabba to Host Afridi’s Exclusive Fan Zone

-

Pakistani pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi is all set for his Big Bash League (BBL) debut — and the Brisbane Heat are rolling out something special for him.

The franchise has announced the launch of a dedicated “Shaheen’s Fan Bay” at the Gabba, designed to honour Afridi and bring together Pakistani fans in Australia.

The Shaheen Fan Bay will be active across all five Heat home matches at the Gabba — December 19, December 27, January 2, January 10 and January 18. Fans can expect a festive cricket atmosphere with prime seating, cultural music, fan gear, and free public transport included in the ticket package.

Afridi, picked as a platinum draft signing, will spearhead Heat’s bowling attack in BBL15. The initiative follows similar fan zones in the league — like Melbourne Stars’ “House of Rauf” for Haris Rauf — making Pakistani cricketers the hottest international attractions in this year’s tournament.

Tickets for the Shaheen’s Fan Bay will be released soon, with the Brisbane Heat promising “the best seats in the house to cheer for one of the world’s most exciting fast bowlers.”
