Afghanistan Cricket Finds Stability—Abu Dhabi Becomes Their Home Ground!

-

Afghanistan cricket has a new address!

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has signed a five-year deal with the Abu Dhabi Cricket and Sports Hub (ADCSH), making Abu Dhabi the go-to place for training camps and youth matches until 2029.

The deal could also see Afghanistan’s senior team playing international matches in the UAE with support from the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).

With backing from the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), this move promises top-notch facilities and more global exposure for Afghan players. ADCSH CEO Matt Boucher welcomed the partnership, while ACB chief Naseeb Khan called it a “turning point” for Afghanistan cricket.

For years, Afghanistan has played “home” games in India and the UAE due to security concerns. Now, with Abu Dhabi as their second home, the team is set for a more stable and promising future.
