Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s long-running reality show Bigg Boss has once again found itself in hot water after fans accused the show’s management of favoritism and biased decisions following the unexpected eviction of Baseer Ali.

Baseer Ali, known for his strong personality and strategic gameplay, was seen as one of the most deserving contestants to reach the finale. His eviction alongside model Nihal in the latest episode left fans shocked and disappointed. Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram to express anger, claiming that the elimination process was pre-decided and manipulated to favor specific contestants.
Several users accused the makers of ignoring public votes and pushing their preferred finalists forward. Trending hashtags like #UnfairBiggBoss, #JusticeForBasirAli, and #BiggBossScripted dominated social media within hours of the episode airing. Fans alleged that weaker and less entertaining housemates were deliberately kept in the game, while Basir, who consistently performed well in tasks and maintained audience interest, was shown the door without justification.
Inside the Bigg Boss house, contestants also discussed the elimination. Housemate Farhana Bhatt commented that “Bigg Boss’s decision matters more than the public vote,” indirectly hinting at a lack of transparency.
Reports suggest that the show’s TRP ratings have dipped in recent weeks amid growing criticism. Many viewers have complained that the program has become overly scripted and predictable, losing the excitement that once made it a prime-time favorite.
This is not the first time Bigg Boss has faced such accusations. Over the years, several former contestants, including Gauahar Khan, Kamya Punjabi, and Kashmera Shah, have claimed that the show’s outcomes are influenced by production decisions rather than genuine public voting.
Despite controversies, the reality show remains one of India’s most-watched programs, but its credibility among fans seems to be fading with each passing season.
