Indian filmmaker Farhan Akhtar confirmed the much-anticipated news of Mirzapur’s transition to the big screen.
Taking to Instagram, Akhtar shared an announcement video featuring lead cast members Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Divyenndu, revealing that the hit series will hit theatres in 2026.
The teaser hinted at Divyenndu’s return, and glimpses of Abhishek Banerjee, while the full cast remains undisclosed.
Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani expressed their excitement, calling the film a “landmark milestone” for the beloved franchise. Director Puneet Krishna and Gurmmeet Singh will lead the project, with more details expected as the release date approaches.
