Dosanjh Calls Out ‘Double Standards’ Amid India–Pakistan Match
Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has broken his silence on the storm around his film Sardaar Ji 3, slammed as ‘anti-national’ and banned in India after the Pahalgam terror attack.
🎤 Dosanjh Speaks at Malaysia Concert
At a packed Malaysia concert, Diljit defended his patriotism and the Sikh community, saying the ban was unfair. He pointed out the irony that his film — featuring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and shot before the attack — was banned, while India–Pakistan cricket matches went ahead even after.
🎬 Ban vs. Cricket
“Our film was completed before the tragedy. We stand with our country and pray for strict punishment for terrorists. But why target us while cricket with Pakistan continues?” Diljit questioned.
🇮🇳 Loyalty to Nation
Hitting back at the ‘anti-national’ tag, Diljit said: “Every attempt was made to portray me wrongly. But a Punjabi and a Sikh can never go against the nation.”
Despite being pulled from Indian screens, Sardaar Ji 3 is enjoying huge international success, especially among the Punjabi diaspora.
