Aamir Khan Returns-“Sitaare Zameen Par” Shines Light on Down Syndrome

-

Aamir Khan is set to captivate audiences once again with Sitaare Zameen Par, the highly anticipated sequel to his 2007 classic, Taare Zameen Par. The film, addressing another meaningful issue, has fans eagerly awaiting its Christmas release.

The movie marks Aamir Khan’s return to the big screen after a two-year break since Laal Singh Chaddha. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is an official Hindi remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions and stars Aamir Khan, Genelia D’Souza, and Darsheel Safary.

While Taare Zameen Par highlighted the challenges of dyslexia, the sequel will focus on Down syndrome, continuing the legacy of addressing critical social issues.

In the original, Aamir Khan played art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who helped a dyslexic student, Ishaan Awasthi, discover his hidden potential. Darsheel Safary, who portrayed Ishaan, will also feature in the sequel in a significant role.
