In a sensational new podcast appearance, actress Memoona Qudoos has sparked debate by alleging that Lahore’s entertainment industry is more corrupt than Karachi’s.
According to Qudoos, Lahore is a hub for “wrong practices,” including public parties and homosexuality, which she claims are more openly displayed there.
Lahore vs. Karachi: A Tale of Two Cities*
Qudoos stated that while questionable activities exist in Karachi, they are kept more private. She claimed Lahore’s industry is full of people who “show off” wealth they don’t possess. In a contrasting take, she described Karachi’s scene as overly professional, to the point of “leaving humanity behind.”
Shocking Allegations and the Casting Couch
The actress made another controversial claim, alleging that men in Karachi often offer women “deals,” trading material benefits for a relationship. She also spoke candidly about the issue of the casting couch, stressing that the problem is not limited to women. Qudoos emphasized that men in the industry are also vulnerable to harassment and exploitation, stating, “Respect is not only for women. Men are also victims of harassment.”
