Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan, recognized for his role in Stree 2, has reported being kidnapped and subjected to 12 hours of torture before being released after paying a ransom.
According to his business partner, Shivam Yadav, Khan was invited to attend an award function in Meerut on November 20, with travel arrangements and an advance payment already made for his participation. However, upon landing in Delhi, Khan was forced into a vehicle by unidentified men who took him to a remote area on the outskirts of the city.
Yadav revealed that Khan was held captive for almost 12 hours, during which the kidnappers demanded INR 10 million in ransom. The actor was eventually released after his son managed to pay INR 200,000 to the captors.
Left in an isolated location, Khan was assisted by locals who contacted the police. Yadav confirmed that an official FIR had been filed and that they had gathered evidence, including the flight ticket, bank transaction details, and CCTV footage from near the airport. Khan also recognized the location and the house where he was held. Yadav expressed confidence that the police would soon capture those responsible.
This incident comes shortly after comedian Sunil Pal made similar claims, stating he was kidnapped and released after paying a ransom.
