Bollywood’s unofficial “Nepo Kids ki Daai Amma”, Karan Johar, just did the unthinkable—he praised a film without a single star kid in it!
Director Mohit Suri’s new film Sayara, starring total newbies Ahaan Pandey and Anit Sharma, is a hit—and KJo was quick to post love and applause on Instagram. But the internet? It didn’t let it slide.
One savage follower commented:
“Aa gaya Nepo Kids ki Daai Amma!”
But KJo, never short of sass, snapped back:
“Chup karo. Ghar baith ke negativity mat phelao. Film dekho, kuch achha kaam karo.”
(Translation: “Silence! Don’t sit at home spreading negativity. Watch the film and go do something good.”)
Mind you, this is the same man who midwifed the debuts of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, and most recently, Ibrahim Ali Khan & Khushi Kapoor.
So… has Daai Amma had a change of heart? Or was this just a rare moment of outsider appreciation in a nepo-scented world?
Whatever the case, the comment section was pure masala.
