Barzakh, starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed, has won the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024.
This accolade highlights the growing influence of Pakistani storytelling on the global stage.
The series, will compete against entries from 13 countries at the grand finale.
Other nominated Indian shows include Heeramandi, Railway Men, and Panchayat.
Set in the breathtaking Hunza Valley, Barzakh tells the story of a 76-year-old man who shocks his estranged family by announcing his engagement to the ghost of his first love.
Directed by Asim Abbasi, the drama explores themes of love and family dynamics and premiered globally on Zindagi’s YouTube channel and ZEE5 on July 19.
