Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi has joyfully announced the birth of his son, Aliyaar Afridi, through a heartfelt social media post.
The cricketer and his wife, Ansha, welcomed their first child on August 24, 2024.
Shaheen shared the first photo of their newborn, showing the couple holding his tiny hand. He expressed his overwhelming happiness with the caption:
“My heart is full and my life just got a whole lot better. 24/08/2024 will always be special to us. Welcome to the world my son, Aliyaar Afridi.”
In his post, Shaheen also praised his wife as the “support system” of their family and thanked her for enduring the challenges of childbirth. He concluded by asking for continued prayers for their family.
Shaheen is expected to rejoin his team for the second Test against Bangladesh on August 30 in Rawalpindi.
The cricketer and Ansha, daughter of former cricketer Shahid Afridi, married in February 2023 and held their wedding celebrations later in Karachi and Islamabad.
