In a surprising twist, beloved actress Shabnam, a legend of Pakistani cinema, used a diplomatic meeting to make a personal request.
While meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar, in Bangladesh, Shabnam received high praise for her iconic contributions to the film industry. The Minister acknowledged her pivotal role in popularizing Pakistani cinema around the world for decades.

But Shabnam had a mission. She seized the opportunity to directly ask the Minister for something close to her heart: a direct flight between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Why? The star, who reigned over Pakistani screens for decades, says the long, 15-hour connecting flights are too taxing on her health. She wants to visit her millions of fans in Karachi and Lahore who constantly ask her to return.

Shabnam’s plea highlights the lasting connection between the actress and her Pakistani fans, and now, it’s a diplomatic matter. Will her fame and influence be enough to bridge the distance?
