Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s global fame can be traced back to Aamir Khan’s decision to reject a fan-favorite movie script.
According to Indian media reports, Aamir Khan was initially chosen to play the role of “Prem” in the highly anticipated film “Hum Aapke Hain Koun,” which stars Madhuri Dixit.
However, Aamir declined the offer as he was not impressed with the script.
At the time, Salman Khan was struggling to establish his career.
The filmmakers then offered the role to Salman, who accepted it immediately, unaware that it would mark the beginning of his tremendous success. Salman Khan’s portrayal of “Prem” was widely praised by fans, propelling him to stardom and solidifying his status as a Bollywood romantic hero.
The 1994 film “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” featured a star-studded cast, including Anupam Kher, Renuka Shahane, Reema Lagoo, Mohnish Bahl, and Alok Nath.
Despite having a budget of 45 million rupees, the movie grossed nearly 1.35 billion rupees worldwide.
