Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil recently hosted a special dinner at his residence to honor Olympian Arshad Nadeem for his remarkable achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Nadeem, who won the gold medal in the javelin throw with a record-setting distance of 92.97 meters, surpassed India’s Neeraj Chopra, who finished in second place.
The dinner, as shared on Maulana Tariq Jamil’s Instagram account, was a gesture of appreciation for Nadeem’s extraordinary accomplishment.
During the event, Maulana Tariq Jamil presented a prize to Nadeem in recognition of his contribution to Pakistan’s pride on the global stage.
Upon returning to Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem was celebrated with a hero’s welcome. His arrival at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport was marked by a traditional water cannon salute.
The airport reception was attended by notable figures including Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Information Technology Shaza Fatima, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari, Punjab Sports Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq, and Chairman of the PM Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed.
