Authorities are now investigating the drug dealers linked to Liam Payne’s death after various substances were discovered in his system.
The musician, who passed away at 31, was found unresponsive following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16.
Reports indicate that investigators are looking into how “pink cocaine”—a mix of methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, along with cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack—ended up in Payne’s possession. Officials are particularly focused on identifying who supplied the drugs and how they reached his hotel room.
There are suggestions that the drugs could have been provided by someone connected to the hotel, though this theory has not been confirmed. A staff member at CasaSur Palermo Hotel declined to comment on the situation.
A preliminary autopsy revealed the presence of pink cocaine, cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack in Payne’s system. Additionally, an aluminum pipe was discovered in his hotel room. Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti noted that Payne sustained serious injuries that were beyond treatment by the time help arrived.
