Kiku Sharda has expressed a strong desire to visit Pakistan, especially Karachi and Lahore, if the opportunity arises. He fondly recalled watching Anwar Maqsood’s legendary show Loose Talk, calling it his all-time favorite.
Famous for his roles in Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, Kiku shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with Geo and Jang during his Dallas visit. While he hasn’t made any attempts yet, Kiku plans to visit soon, feeling the love from his Pakistani fans. “If I get the chance, I’d love to visit Lahore and Karachi to meet them,” he said.
Through social media, Kiku discovered his large following in Pakistan. He praised the country’s comedic scene, particularly Loose Talk, which he continues to adore. “It’s still my favorite show,” he added.
Reflecting on his career, Kiku mentioned performing iconic characters like Bachha Yadav, Palak, and his comedic take on Sunny Deol during his solo shows in Dallas. He highlighted the importance of a responsive audience, especially from the Pakistani community in the U.S., who truly understand and appreciate comedy.
Asked about the source of his infectious laughter, Kiku reassured there’s no hidden sorrow. “I’m happy with my work, and the joy of making people laugh is priceless,” he said.
Kiku also discussed Sidhu’s return to The Kapil Sharma Show, noting that Sidhu has appeared as a guest, but the future remains uncertain. “I miss his one-liners and the great projects we did together,” he shared.
Offering advice to the South Asian community abroad, Kiku said, “Don’t complicate life. Keep your mind at peace and live simply.”
