Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar – Honey Trap Turns Crime Drama – Case Takes a New Twist

-

Famed playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar recently became the target of an intricate honey-trapping scheme that led to his abduction.

The case has sparked significant public interest, especially after the arrest of Amina Urooj, the prime suspect.

On Wednesday, a Special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) rejected Amina Urooj’s bail request, keeping her in custody for her alleged involvement in Qamar’s kidnapping.

The hearing, overseen by Judge Arshad Javed, concluded with the ruling after the lawyers presented their arguments.

Authorities revealed that Amina, along with other main suspects, was apprehended in Lahore for her role in the kidnapping of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.

Amina and three accomplices were arrested in Nankana Sahib for orchestrating the kidnapping and robbery that occurred on July 15. According to police investigations, Amina posed as a British citizen to lure Qamar to a location where her accomplices carried out the abduction.

The suspects allegedly stole large sums of money, Qamar’s mobile phone, and a valuable watch before leaving him at an undisclosed location, threatening his life if he reported the incident.

Police also revealed that Amina is a repeat offender with a history of using similar schemes, pretending to be a British citizen to gain victims’ trust before orchestrating robberies with her associates.
