“Deeply Disappointed” – Bushra Ansari on the Success of ‘Bado Badi’

-

In a recent discussion, veteran actress and singer Bushra Ansari shared her concerns about the changing dynamics of the Pakistani entertainment industry, particularly regarding the rise of new viral stars.

Bushra Ansari has voiced her worries about the viral culture that currently dominates the Pakistani entertainment scene, especially with the emergence of figures like Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his somewhat awkward parodies of popular songs, recently attracted significant attention with his reinterpretation of Madam Noor Jahan’s classic, “Bado Badi.” His rapid rise to fame has sparked discussions about the evolving landscape of music and entertainment in Pakistan.

On a private TV show, Bushra Ansari openly expressed her disappointment with the current state of music, stating, “I am deeply disappointed by the viral culture in our country.” She expressed confusion over Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s popularity, lamenting, “I have no words for why he and others like him are gaining fame.”

The seasoned performer emphasized her deep passion for music and her concern about the apparent lack of respect for the art form. “It pains me to see music being so openly disrespected. This is something I cannot accept,” she asserted, calling for a return to authentic artistry in the industry.
