Zain Ashraf Receives Prestigious GIFA Award 2024 in Maldives, First -Pakistani Social Entrepreneur Honored

Pakistani social entrepreneur Zain Ashraf Mughal has been awarded the Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) 2024 in a ceremony held in the Maldives.

Ashraf, known for his impactful work in social entrepreneurship, is the first Pakistani to be honoured with this prestigious award.

His efforts have significantly benefited marginalized communities, including sending over 6,000 children to school and assisting 3,000 individuals, including minorities and eunuchs, in becoming entrepreneurs.

Previously, Ashraf earned accolades such as the Commonwealth Award and a spot on Forbes’ Under 30 list. The GIFA Award, which has also been awarded to notable figures like former Pakistani President Arif Alvi and ex-Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, recognizes exceptional contributions in global finance and social impact.

In his acceptance speech, Ashraf highlighted his commitment to furthering Pakistan’s growth through social entrepreneurship, promising that this recognition is just the beginning of his efforts to empower the underserved.
