Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a major plan for Pakistan’s youth. The focus is on education and technology.
One million students will receive smartphones based on merit. Laptops will also be provided to help bridge the digital divide.
Students will be sent to China for advanced agricultural studies. This will boost Pakistan’s agriculture sector. Additionally, 200,000 young Pakistanis will get free IT training each year. This will prepare them for global job opportunities.
The Prime Minister also praised Arshad Nadeem for winning Pakistan’s first Olympic gold in track and field. A new five-year youth development program will begin after August 14.
