UK Newspaper Slams Imran Khan’s Oxford Chancellorship Bid

-

Imran Khan’s candidacy for the Oxford University Chancellor role has come under fire from The Guardian.

The newspaper’s critique focuses on Khan’s controversial past statements and his stances on various issues.

Columnist Catherine Bennett noted Khan’s earlier comments calling Osama bin Laden a “martyr” and his praise for the Taliban.

The paper also condemned Khan’s views on women’s education and rape.

Furthermore, it questioned Khan’s ability to meet the ceremonial and public responsibilities of a chancellor, suggesting he might not be reliably available.
