The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have clarified details surrounding a case that sparked controversy and confusion.
Initially reported as an abuse case involving a foreign national, further investigation has revealed new facts and disproved earlier claims.
The ICT Police have received the medical report of the woman involved in the case, which confirmed that no evidence of abuse was found.
Sources reveal that the woman is a Pakistani national, not a foreigner, while her husband holds Belgian citizenship. The couple reportedly married in Pakistan around five years ago.
Initially, the woman accused two individuals of rape, later increasing the number to five, according to police sources.
It has been reported that the woman suffers from mental illness and has now been moved to the Edhi Center for care.
Police sources also stated that no evidence was found at the home of the arrested suspect, Tamizuddin. The suspect claimed that the woman would visit his home daily, leading him to tie her up and leave her outside.
The woman was discovered tied up in Islamabad, and earlier claims that she was a Belgian national have been debunked.
