Tragedy Strikes-Bus Plunges into Ravine, Claiming Dozens of Lives

At least 28 lives have been lost and over 20 individuals injured in a heartbreaking accident as a bus veered into a ravine in Washuk, Baluchistan.

The devastating incident occurred when a tire burst, sending the bus careening off the road.

Among the deceased are women and children, with several injured passengers in critical condition, raising fears of further casualties. The Basima Civil Hospital has been inundated with the injured, where tragically, 22 more succumbed to their injuries.

The bus, an route from Turbat to Quetta, met with tragedy in the early hours of the morning, around 4 am, in an area devoid of mobile network coverage and nearby population.

Despite the challenges, rescue efforts swiftly mobilized upon receiving the distressing news.

Baluchistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has expressed profound grief and extended condolences to the bereaved families. He has pledged top-notch medical care for the injured, praying for their swift recovery.
