In recent developments, Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), reported on Thursday about the Pakistan Army’s ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and internal accountability measures.
In a media briefing, Chaudhry detailed that the military has conducted over 32,000 intelligence-based operations against terrorists and their supporters, with 4,021 operations executed in the past month alone.
These efforts led to the elimination of 90 terrorists and the martyrdom of 193 soldiers.
Chaudhry also noted that operations targeting Lashkar-e-Islam and Jamaatul Ahrar in Tirah Valley from August 20 resulted in the death of 37 terrorists and injuries to 14 others, including the notable target, the terrorist Abuzar.
