Newly elected Emir (President) of Jamaat e Islami Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman will take oath on 18th April 2024.
It was a fundraising event in Karachi, the guest of honor was esteemed writer Anwar Maqsood. Speaking about Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman’s character, he remarked,

From its inception, it has been 19th election for Emir in Jamaat-e-Islami in which 82 percent of the 46,000+ members participated . As a result, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman is elected as the 6th Emir of JI, succeeding leaders such as Syed Abul Aala Modoodi, Mian Tufail, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Munawar Hasan and Siraj ul Haq.
The selection process within JI is crucial and occurs every five years. This time, the Markazi Shura proposed three names, including prominent figures like Sirajul Haq and Liaquat Baloch, alongside Hafiz Naeemur Rehman.
