Fact Check – No Closure of ATM – State Bank of Pakistan’s Clarification

-

In light of recent rumors about ATM machine closures, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has taken action to clarify the situation and reassure the public.

These false reports have raised concerns among bank customers, leading the central bank to release an official statement.

The SBP has firmly denied any plans to shut down ATMs. In its statement issued on Monday, the bank also cautioned the public against clicking on suspicious online links and sharing personal information.

Additionally, the SBP advised online banking users to log out immediately after their sessions and encouraged customers to regularly review their account statements for enhanced security.
